August 2016 – Ann Bird – The World of Roses

Ann is a former president of the Royal National Rose Society and gave an extremely interesting talk on how she first became interested in roses and how they took over her life.  She has travelled the world in her role as president of the RNRS and is an authority on old garden roses. She showed some beautiful pictures and had many anecdotes to go with them.  Ann will be giving a talk on how to prune roses at the October 2017 meeting.
