DESCRIPTION:This extraordinary\, romantic\, part-Gothic house has been in the Proby family since 1660. It is a fascinating mixture of styles\, reflecting the taste and interests of succeeding generations. Every room contains treasures – magnificent furniture and paintings from early 15th century Old Masters to 19th century artists such as Millais. There are three libraries containing over 10\,000 books\, one of the most remarkable being Henry VIII’s prayer book with inscriptions by Henry and his three children.\nThe beautiful walled gardens have been lovingly restored during the last thirty-five years and now include mature topiary\, a Gothic orangery and stunning herbaceous borders set between immaculate hedges.\nThe trip includes a tour of the house and the gardens.\nThere are no picnic facilities\, however the Mulberry Cafe\, within Bosworth’s Garden Centre next door\, is open all day for refreshments.\nNote: The garden is accessible for wheelchairs etc but not the house
