Trip to Anglesey Abbey, Gardens and Lode Mill
On Tuesday 10th September 2019 we enjoyed a lovely day out to Anglesey Abbey to view the extensive gardens, grounds and it included entrance to the Abbey. There was also Lode mill, still fully operational and selling its flour in the shop. We were especially fortunate as they had just set up an amazing dahlia display dotted around which you came across as you explored the grounds.
There is a very scented rose garden and it seems they must all have been selected for their wonderful individual perfumes. There was so much to see in the gardens and very extensive grounds to walk around, the Abbey and the Mill were fascinating.
The Committee wish to thank our Secretary Helen Staniforth very much indeed for arranging this outing for the club, it was another super day out and our third excursion this year.
