Annual Plant Auction
The Annual Plant Auction was held on Tuesday 3rd May 2022 with proceeds going to REMAP. Martin Grant, a volunteer with REMAP, reminded us that they custom makes equipment to help disabled people live more independent lives. The volunteers, many with engineering experience, make around 60 items for the people of Leicestershire every year. The auction itself was a lively event with Trevor Allcoat as our very able auctioneer. There was brisk bidding on a variety of plants, with Trevor offering tips on how to look after them once they were at their new home. Some items caused good humored competition creating good fun and lots of laughter.
The total sum raised was £169.40 which will go a long way to purchasing items for designing and making much needed equipment for disabled people of all ages in Leicestershire.
