Burbage Gardening Club 77th Annual Show REPORT

A splendid array of dahlias, roses, potted plants and flower arrangements greeted visitors to the Burbage Gardening Club 77th Open Show as they arrived at Hastings High School on Saturday 16th August. Despite the growing season being rather challenging this year exhibitors showed their expertise in growing a whole range of fruit, vegetables and herbs. The café and bar buzzed, and the afternoon ended with the raffle, prize giving, and the presentation of the Recognition Award from the Royal Horticultural Society to Derek Wheeler for his many years of service to the club.

This year our donation is going to The Hinckley Homeless Group whose Chair, Diana Morgan, explained how they support 17 to 26 yrs old to overcome life’s challenges.
